I have Rotosound flatwounds on my Dipinto Belvedere Standard bass. Its a semi hollow bass made from mahogany and it sounds awesome but it does give you a more warm, vintage vibe.
Current cover band rig is a Fender Precision Special or a EB Musicman Sterling into a Line 6 Pro 400 combo amp (2 x10). Easy to haul and plenty of versatility.
