Cincy Music

I'm a bassist with 9 years of experience in several styles of music. I just moved back up here from Lexington and I'm looking to play with some people of here.
I'll play anything except metal or country. I can learn material fast and I'm reliable. I have gig worthy gear and a house to practice at. I play electric bass primarily, but I also play upright.

What I'm looking for:
*I would really like to get paid gigs, either as a sit in or a band member. I want to spend as much of my life playing as I can, and that unfortunately means I need to be paid for it. On the other hand though, if it's something I find really unique and exciting, it doesn't need to pay.
*No metal (as stated)
*Professionalism on your end. No junkies. No assholes. Please be honest about the amount of money involved, number of practices, gigs, etc.
*Fun. I play music because I love it. Whether I'm getting paid or not, I need to enjoy the music and get along with who I'm playing with.

Hey Kyle, I'm a drummer playing with a guitarist in Westwood. We have pro gear, and have been in bands in the past. I would describe our sound as Alterna-Classic rock with a Southern edge. We need a bass player to fill out the sound, and hope to recruit a second lead guitar player at some point as well. Right now we're just putting things together. We were hoping to play some gigs later this Summer, but we've had difficulty finding other players who were into original music and could commit to a regular schedule. You can check out some rough instrumental demos (guitar/drums) at the following link.http://www.myspace.com/thehighhard1s
We've been practicing on Wednesdays and Sundays, or alternate Fridays depending on when the guitarist has his daughter. I know this isn't the Money gig you were hoping for, but it might be fun. Let me know what you think. Dan

Interesting. I'm a singer in a Led Zeppelin tribute, starting an original project. We're definitely professional and are looking for someone with the same qualities. Getting out of Cincinnati is really what's on our minds. Of course, we're ready to make lots of money as well. If you're interested, I will tell you more. Let me know.

My band is looking for a new guitarist, or the current bassist could switch over to guitar. Take a look and see if you have any interest in playing bass with us. It would be about a month of practices before playing out.
